Flexfuel kit options and pricing
Hello Tuners,
I decided to get a flexfuel kit with a custom tune for my gt86, but I have a feeling I am about to get ripped off. Any ideas about the average price of the flexfuel kit + ecutek + custom tune? The total price quoted was $1350 for the ecutek tune + $1500 for the flexfuel kit as an upgrade = $2850 installed. It seems to be a bit pricey since the individual parts are quite cheap. Sounds a bit strange that I need to get the non-E85 tune first, then add the flexfuel kit as an upgrade. Please don't let a fellow 86-er get ripped off! Sam  |
Order the kit from delicious tuning. Install yourself. Get the ecutek license, buy the tune from delicious. Save a bunch of money. Enjoy your new shit

MotoEast flex fuel kit with ECUtek cord, license and a custom tune from them cost me around 1500 dollars...
Who is doing your tune? 1350 is ridiculous.. Mike from MotoEast will custom remote tune your car for 150 dollars and my car runs like a dream on 91 or 85 and everything in between. http://www.moto-east.com/store/ft86/...er-ecakit.html |
Thanks for the details. I knew I was getting shafted. The tuner is a local shop here in Switzerland called chip-racing.
Here is the link to their flexfuel upgrade, which upgrades their ROM called CRTEK1. http://tuning-shop.chip-racing.ch/de...de-toyota-gt86 Quote:

I've heard great things about moto east and I work with delicious. The parts are easy to install. Only special tool you need is to rejoice the fuel line(watch some videos). Probably cost me about 1200$ but I got my kit used
