Throwout bearing?
My throwout bearing usually squeaks when I push in the clutch. It's on the list to replace but just haven't gotten around to it.
But today, on a cold start the car was making this sound. It's a high pitched whine, almost sounds like a supercharger. Could it be the input shaft bearing? Or just the throwout bearing? The sound slightly goes away when warm, and is definitely coming from the bellhousing. https://youtu.be/WwFQM3wOHE4 Car has 47k on it. |

I don't know the exact warranty stipulation on the TOB but here's info on warranty issues.

It's covered under the power train warranty which is a lot longer than standard factory warranty.
I had mine replaced at 19k miles when it made the sound. I swear the clutch feels better now and I haven't heard any sounds 3k miles later. |
