Love my Perrin CAI growl but wanting a new header, afraid growl will be diminished
I'm loving the growl from my CAI on down shifts but I'm not sure what going with a new header (Gruppe-S UEL) would do to that growl.
I have the CAI strictly for the sound and am not e xpecting any gains from it. If I go with an UEL header and its own rumble takes over the growl, i may switch to back to stock+drop in filter. Thoughts from those who have these mods? |
Do you have any other exhaust mods? Provided your exhaust isn't already too loud, you should still be able to hear your intake.

Are you running the stock exhaust? When adding a header, it can make it quite a bit louder, especially with UEL. But if you have the stock catback, it probably won't change the sound too much. The header isn't going to change the intake sound, it'll just all blend together to make a lot of noise if you have an aftermarket catback.
