Tree fell on my car
2 Attachment(s)
More specifically a tree limb fell on my car while driving last night. It was a windy and rainy night and I was on my way back from the movies with a date when suddenly a tree limb fell directly on my hood :mad0259: So now I have 2 options see if someone can use a PDR and pop the dent out of the hood or pay my insurance 500 to fix the damage. What do you guys think can a PDR get these dents out?

are you sure your comp deductible is $500? |

Im not sure PDR will be 100% effective that looks bad!! I would get them to take a look at if and if they cant/wont do it go through insurance. You shoud get them to buy you a CF hood or somthing cuz a OEM hood + paint will probably be around the same price haha!!! |
Time for a carbon fiber vented hood? ;)

pdr will not get that damage out especially since the hood is aluminum
several things to consider if you have rental you wont be out of a car for the repairs, comp claims do not cause a rate increase. also finding a good shop that can properly repair an aluminum hood can be a hassle. my advice is to put a claim in and just pay the 500, where in jersey are you located? |
I don't think aluminum is easily repairable at all. you can always get composite hood and paint match it too, if you don't want a flashy cf hood. Not sure if those are available though.

This thread disappoints....
Was expecting to see something more like this https://www.allstate.com/resources/A...ell-on-car.jpg Not that I'd wish that upon you or anyone else for that matter, but the title is misleading lol |
Need more pictures to confirm...
...if date was worth the damage incurred. |
Get an estimate from these guys in Pennsauken. If they can't do it they may know someone in the area who can.

no I do not use johnny dents and was not impressed with things I have heard. the hood on this car is unfortunately not a pdr candidate, but it should be ok and not stretch during a repair. |
