2500 miles

Well guys, I hit 2500 miles today, and it's running harder than ever! I gotta start bringing my motorcycle to work more often. Haha

frsinpa 06-25-2012 12:02 PM

Damn dude - so you're on pace for 30,000 miles or so a year?

rcm47 06-25-2012 12:10 PM

Wow. I just hit 1000 last night. Congrats!

Haha - impressive stuff. I'm jealous... mine is still stuck in the dreaded "break in" phase. :(

I'm right behind you, averaging about 60 miles a day during the first 2K miles. I'm almost at 3,000 now. Here's some calculations I did to show when I would reach certain milestones at the current rate.

Of course, no matter how many miles you do, someone else always does more! I guess its a race to see who has to do the first full restoration!

Funny thing is, im doing 156 miles a day, when I leave for basic I should have around 40k miles on it, 5 years from now it should have 50k lol....

I have a plan to collect an extra of every part in a climate controlled storage so 30 years from now I can rebuild the car lol...
Or if the car isnt in bad condition ill put the second car together

carbonBLUE 06-25-2012 01:49 PM

On an extra note I may use those extra parts to build a brand new, well practically, FRS and auction it off to make a little dough, all in all itll cost me around 40k to acutually buy all the parts with shipping, but 30 years from now itll be worth it if there is still Dino fuel left in the world :), I know some of you would love to buy a mk1 supra with litterally 0 miles on it, will be the same case for the FRS in the future ::

Well, double shifts at work and a second car = only 30 miles in 1 week. At this pace, by the time I get to the break in stage, it will be time to trade in for the eventual turbo version.

F3dzo 06-26-2012 06:24 AM

100 miles a day 6days a week... And that's using my motorcycle when it doesn't rain... Ive parked my car... Strictly bike use for the next month. ( I'll use the car on my day off) lol

FrX 06-26-2012 06:55 AM

Just hit 1000 miles in mine. I am getting 250-300 per week in.
