How much extra hp/trq can the stock tires handle
Can they handle extra hp for example e85 tune with borla uel headers, and full exhaust system
|
No, you'll rip them to shreds as soon as you turn your car on after all those mods.

Given that the OEM Bridgestone Tuaranza EL400-2's on my FR-S squeal wh en accelerating even in full nanny mode, I have to assume that more tire is a necessity with just about any mods. I know I will be going to Michelin PSS 225/45-17's when I replace my rim protectors.

Depends on what you mean by handle. They won't tear into pieces or anything. They may lose traction when going WOT depending on weather conditions and where in the band you are.
FWIW I upgraded to MPSP 3's when I had that same setup, but only really lost traction with the ESC. |
Michelin Primacy HP's are OEM fitment on several Lexus, Mercedes, BMW, and Audi, the Toyobaru is actually on the LOW end of horsepower for the cars that are typically fitted with these tires compared to say a BMW X1, Audi A6, Lexus GS430, Merc C350 etc. And don't forget the weight of those vehicles making it even rougher for the tires to stay stuck to the road.
Even so, you can manage to shred the Michelin's with a day of track time on stock power anyway. Use them until they're gone and then buy what you want. |

I'm not quite sure why you're worried. I hear you can use your right foot to control whether the tires lose traction. |

I had the stock 17" Michelins on my GT86.
After putting the lightweight engine pulleys & Takeda intake on I noticed the traction control coming on way more often, before I found the VSC button, :bonk: The stock tires aren't up to much |
