Short and Sweet. Got my catback the other day for my scion frs fitted and everything for about 1000$...needles to say I love it the sound is ncie and deep and smooth. LOVE IT.RECOMMEND IT!

I've had two Magnaflow mufflers. Both of them have blown out the packing resulting in a much louder exhaust than when first fitted.

Where did you buy it for 1k? I'm pretty sure you got ripped off because 2 of the main FRS/BRZ (for the lack of a better word) retail shops are selling it for much, much less.

Unless that price includes getting a shop to install it, you still got ripped off...

He did say "fitted and everything" so I'm going to assume that includes install - which is still on the higher side, but not as much of a reaming.

That's what I'm assuming, he must've gotten a cat-back installed by someone, at that price though I personally would've gotten UELs, wrapped them with titanium wrapping, and installed it myself. Would've been a much better bang for the buck

lol. I bought, titanium wrapped, and installed UEL headers for under $600. Headers and catbacks aren't apples to apples, though. The average full catback runs around $800-$1200. Headers can be had for under $700, excluding the super-gangster EL ones.

That's why I said that's what I would do personally and am planning to do that in the summer. I feel like they are apples to apples in the case of our cars though, one adds power the other only really adds noise. You could get a cat-back from magnaflow installed for $1k or get a header installed and wrapped for $1k. Both exhaust mods, but one has more of an overall effect over the other

I had a Magnaflow on mine, and really liked it. No rasp, little to no drone, deep, but on the quiet side, with a nice burble and grrr when you get off the gas. Sounded even better with a Nameless over/front pipe (catted and resonated).

Very happy with my MagnaFlow cat back. It's a bit louder than I want now that I have a Rev works UEL catless header and bigger overripe though.

Thanks but I think I'll tolerate it being slightly too loud. :)

I have a Magnaflow cat back and Tomei header. I love the deep sound. The only time I ever have an issue with drone is on long highway drives with the rear seats down.
