Wasn't until the end of the conversation where she told me if it was moving it was comprehensive that I understood what the intense interest in the physics of the incident was all about.

Say if someone were to slingshot them :)

But having it happen around Halloween would make it easier to get the adjuster to agree.

I hit a piece of tire debris on the highway and it cracked my bumper by the tow hook pretty bad. I got that and some damage on my a-piller repaired for 900. Find a good body shop in your area and get a quote.

I had some free time today and went by a Toyota body shop. Just from looking at it, i was told easily over $2,000 worth to start. bumper, paint, all of the underside plastics in front of the radiator, grill, apparently I also broke a fog light, and possible a 4 wheel alignment since i spun out. They said it could easily be worse once they get underneath the car. Seems to look more and more like i'll be going the insurance route.

now, i wonder if i can talk them into throwing in a full TRD lip kit...lol. thanks everyone for your help and advice!

Lets see the damage.

I hit a tree stump that fell off a truck. It knicked up the bumper pretty good at the bottom and broke apart the grill. With a lot of handiwork/prep and $65 in supplies I fully repaired mine and most wouldn't be able to notice.

Saved me from submitting a claim (raising my premium) and saved me $800 on a new bumper.

definitely get more than one quote.

You would be surprised at the price variance of some shops. I got rear ended a month or so after i purchased my car. the damage was minor but i was quoted 1200 by one shop and 1400 -1700 at a few others. Go to 2-4 if possible it will give you the best gauge on who to give your business.

Same thing happened to me. Hit raccoon early one morning on my way to work. Broke the bumper, driving light & bezel, gravel guard, just like you. Unlike you, I had a deer hit me 3 days later in very dense fog, and took out the rest of the bumper, the headlight, hood, front fender, door, and rear quarter panel...did I mention I had already filed a claim on the raccoon damage and had to call my insurance company back and file another claim on the deer? They love me....

OUCH, I'd pay my 100$ deductible and get my car fixed. I would not ride around with my car all torn apart. Is that skid plate knocked out? A racoon did all this? wow
