I'm very tempted to put in some track time at my favourite track (Midvaal) this weekend.
There's Extreme Festival at the Z next weekend (07Nov), so there should be lots of racecars practicing/tuning at Midvaal this weekend, especially Sunday :)

Who wants to join me mixing it with the racecars?
It's exhilirating and great fun, and IMO, safer than Supertrax class A at the Z (the M3 hooligan parade).

Sure, there'll be some very fast cars and they give it serious horns, but they're experienced drivers and they're used to close proximity and overtaking in tight situations. You just need to "hou kop", stay on the racing line, don't slow down, don't panic, and don't do anything stupid - then you'll be fine.
A bit intimidating the first time out, but you quickly get used to it.

And there's no sweeter victory than creaming a race car :)

Just checked up on the availability of Midvaal this weekend.
Saturday 31 October, track is open for practice.
Sunday 01 November is drag racing, so the circuit will be closed.

Pity. That messes up my plans.
I was hoping to swing past Red Star on Saturday to take in the INEX Legend racing, stay with my son in Meyerton on Saturday night, and play on track Sunday.
Bummer.
