ZDRxHz's Raven FR-S + Progress
Hey guys. First Scion for me here. I have owned 2 Hondas, 1 Acura, and 1 Mitsubishi. One of the Hondas was a 2008 Civic SI. Fun to drive. However, I am really impressed by the FR-S I picked up a couple weeks ago. I already have around 1000 miles on it. Here are some pictures from before and after.
Current modifications are 20% tint, 5% eyebrow, tinted front markers, stubby carbon fiber antenna, 6000k HID conversion. More to come! Day 1: http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o...48584583_n.jpg HID conversion comparison: http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o...06316664_n.jpg Projector Cutoff: http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o...31850502_n.jpg Tinted markers did not turn out. Need to redo them: http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o...93152983_n.jpg Stubby antenna (unsure if I will keep, may get a sharkfin): http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o...45517262_n.jpg Current (6/24/12) http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o...07468830_n.jpg And one more: http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o...45438106_n.jpg Nice to meet you all :) |
What is that abomination parked next to your 86?:barf:

My friend's Celica. Everyone has their own style.

Nice ride, let us know if you need any LEDs for your FR-S!
Thanks for sharing the photos =) |
Which HID conversion kit did you use?
|
I used Meng Motorsports HID conversion kit. 6000k. High quality.
New modification today, drilled out the rear fog light, installed a socket and bulb with an Oring. Ran the wiring up through some holes and spliced into the tail light. Looks good! http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o...34401114_n.jpg And with the LED reverse on: http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o...25982925_n.jpg |
looks awesome!

Love the fog light/tail light. When I get my frs I may need a DIY on this lol
|
did you use relay on the fog lights?
|
Is that rear light always on? I wouldn't have it always on with the taillights; you could really distract other drivers with it and/or get unwanted attention from the po-po. The rear fog light should only be used in serious inclement weather conditions.
|
Most people have it wired so that it is always on, once the tail lights are turned on. Some people wired 2 bulbs in there, so that it gets brighter when brakes are applied.
The conversation about a rear fog light always on has been discussed in length in the DIY section of the forum. Some hate it, some love it. Bottom line is that the light is so low to the ground it will not distract anyone, it is not a piercing light and NO one is that low to the ground to have it be an issue for cars behind you. (unless you somehow directed the light up) Quote:
