SM wheel and tire setup

Hey, I'm autocrossing in the SM class and having a blast! I was wondering what anyone else in that class was running for a wheel and tire setup. I'm currently using my street tires and I want to get a dedicated wheel and tie setup. Thanks in advance.

I'm assuming this is without fender mods or flares?

I wonder if 949 racing's 17x10s would fit with just a roll/pull?

What do you already have as far as suspension/power? Depending on this, and fender clearance you should be looking at something at least 9 inches wide and at least a 255 A6/Kuhmo/Hankook.

apexi N1 coilovers, megan racing lower control arms, whiteline sway bars, wilwood BBK 6 pot fron 4 pot rear and an AVO turbo kit at 12psi somwhere in the low 300

I'd be wanting at least 275s on a 10....a "light" build would probably do just fine with a 245 40 17 a7 on a 17x9

Have you looked through this thread? http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7535
Lots of examples up to 10.5" with various amounts of camber and fender mods.

With no driveline mods, I'd be worried about overall diameter as much as width. A7's in 285/30-18 would be great, but that on a 10 is probably going to require more than optimal camber or a significant fender pull. Barring that, I 2nd the 245/40-17 A7 on a 9 as an intermediate 'stepping stone'.

I think an "easy" setup would be the 17x10 949 rims when they come out or Forgestar F14s which are available in 17x10 and then 275/35/17 Hoosiers. Anything >10" is going to require 18s or something else custom.

I don't think 275/35/17 will require significant modifications at all.
