Treadstone Borgwarner EFR turbo kit

I have been eyeing on this kit for a long time, just not sure why it hasn't got much attention in any 86 forum. Had great experience with Borgwarner turbo before, and seems like this is the only kit that is out there with it, and I don't need to cut the crash beam. And the price includes modified drip pan, ecutek pro, and their basemap. I have done my search on the forum and saw 3 different built, one is a beta built as the forum member lend them his car to test fit. But other than that I havnt seen much built with the kit. Anyways, just want to poke out there to see if anyone got it installed but havn't got the time to charm in yet. Cheers!

I know nothing about that turbo but that's a lot of product for not much price. Surprised it hasn't gotten more buyers

And treadstone' own intercooler is a great product.

Anyways I'm jumping on this soon, I will probably start a built thread. But if anyone had/have this kit, please charm in

No blowoff valve or external wastegate + the extra shims/flanges to make it happen, does reflect the price correctly.

I would still like to see someone post a nice basemap dyno. The sellers dyno chart doesn't count of course.

EFR Turbos have the internal BPV and wastegate to keep the charger cartridge spooling on the ball bearings.

Thanks for the knowledge!

There are a few owners here with independent dynos.

Thanks kbye! But I think GsxrMe is looking for dyno result with their basemap. Vs these are professionally tuned. I think I might go with the delicious tune and go map, and see what result I might get. Local custom tunes and dyno seems might ride me up to $1200 from where I am.

Professional tunes, along with a baseline on the same dyno, are the best indication of how well a kit can perform. There is no point in comparing base map dynos because they are not optimized.
