Automatic Transmission Cooler

Hey guys,

I have a 2014 A/T FRS that I've taken to 3 track days this summer and I'm hooked! I plan on doing more track days next year and was wondering whether it would be a good idea to invest in a tranny cooler? For those A/T owners that track their car regularly do you run a tranny cooler? If so, does it affect transmission fluid temps in the winter? Also if anyone is running the Stark Performance tranny cooler would you mind offering a brief review of it?

Sorry for all the questions! Any opinions and recommendations will be appreciated!

Thanks

Yes run one in the summer, in the winter it will probably overcool

If you read the Stark description, it is supposed to have a thermostat built in to prevent this. It's effectiveness is still unknown, though

My mishimoto oil cooler has a thermostat and it still over cools :iono: I just took the thermostat out for the up coming winter haha! I wonder how hard the install would be on one of those tranny coolers?

After talking with a local guy about the A/T tranny cooler, apparently it is dead simple but need to follow the A/T CPU instructions very carefully

M/T I believe is similar, but the tranny is plumbed differently
