Installed Nav module with Aha, which phone should I buy?
So as the title states I recently purchased a nav/aha/bespoke module from another member here and installed it today in my 2015 with the base radio. I had been wanting to integrate GPS into the car since I purchased it but was not willing to spend the 1200$ dollars the dealer wanted to do the upgrade for me. Everything was extremely simple as I had already done a backup camera and was familiar with removing the trim and the radio.
While I primarily purchased the unit to have integrated nav. I find that there are some really neat features that I wasn't expecting with the AHA application. (I'm old, I didn't realize this module would add more functionality than just Nav). In any event I've been in the market for a new phone for a while. Had a hot tub accident last year and my Galaxy S4 was dead. Money was tight and rather than go out and replace it I rooted an old S3 that was laying around the house and that is what I am currently using. It paired with the headunit just fine. The texting feature works great with the bespoke unit. I have always been an Android user but am looking for some input from those of you who have the Aha/bespoke radio. If you were buying a new phone today specifically to integrate with the FRS headunit which phone would you purchase. For example would I gain more functionality by going with an Apple product this time rather than Android. I'm on Tmobile and not changing carriers. I'm looking primarily and either a Note 3 or 4 or the IPhone 6+. Give me your input please |
