Really good price for a FRS!

So i always check autotrader for fun to see how are cars our selling etc...and this came up

I think this is an amazing price for anybody shopping for a used one!

Wonder if there is anything wrong with it though...cause that price is pretty low.

It's a collision loss.

That is a great price as long as you are not put out by the fact it is a collision loss.

Perfect beginnings of a racecar

It says why it's cheap right in the ad:

Quote:

What you cannot see from the photos is that we purchased this Scion from an insurance company as a collision loss. It was hit in the left rear and has been professionally repaired by us using OEM Scion parts. There was no mechanical, suspension or engine damage. The airbags did not deploy.
Eric, there have been some in the $4k range down south with blown/no engines. That screams race car to me! It's almost cheap enough for chump, but they're probably way over value.

If I was on a budget I would buy that in a heartbeat. Any dealer up front enough to put that it had collision damage right in the ad isn't likely to be lying about the no suspension or frame damage part of it. I may be more leery if hit in the front since there is more chance of issues though.

Yeah if it didn't have frame or suspension damage why is it a loss? Otherwise it would just be cosmetic repairs..
