Intermittent starting problem

Does anyone else have this problem? I have a speed density tune on my 2015 brz with JRSC. Every once in a while, maybe 2 weeks or so, when I go to start the car it just stumbles & dies. I took a video:

https://youtu.be/WdhxwQ6278s

It's done this a half-dozen times since I flashed it. Just revs up, starts, the afr goes down, then up, then it dies. It's happened during a first start in the morning, or just now in a parking lot at the YMCA. I timed it today, pressed the start button once a minute and it finally stayed running after the 12th attempt. Doesn't seem to matter if the a/c is on or not. I have my foot on the clutch and don't touch the throttle at all. Scanned for codes and found none. When it started, it started like nothing in the world was wrong, and it'll be like that for a couple of weeks. Car runs great besides this. You would never know anything was wrong.

My tuner said this is a known bug with ECUTek but I've never heard of it from anyone else here, unless I missed it. Am I the only "special" one?

Thanks
-Mark

Have you resolved this? I just starting having startings issues today. I've had my JRSC C38 for 9 months now and this is the first time i'm having this problem.

SD tune its likely ecutek, so will be locked.

some tuners use the inbuilt ecutek SD feature, some build their own SD type tune using custom maps.

some are hybrid SD where tune uses normal maf based tuning at lower rpm then SD at higher rpm.

Does it only occur at specific temperatures ?

SD tuning is based on air temps and manifold pressures, if its only just started doing this might be hardware problem, air leak or sensor issue.

rearly your only option is the tuner, if you have ecutek cable suggest you log the issue and send logs to tuner

Mine started doing this last few weeks too and it seems to happen if the car is off for a bit.

I start the car then move out of my parking lot a few feet then it dies. I then attempt to start the car and it usually starts after 1-2 more tries. If I drive the car for a bit it doesn't do it again until I turnoff the car then try to turnon after a few mins.

I have a ACT 6 puck with Prolite Flywheel, FBM Turbo Kit 550cc injectors and 270LPH tuned with EcuTek. I'm runing 91 octane, but installing a FlexFuel kit and gona retune for E85 in a few weeks.

Any ideas?

*update: I pulled out my fuel pump and re-installed it and now it starts up normally. The o-rings looked like it somehow shifted and was no longer holding pressure when the car sat for a few minutes (running DW65C FP). I made sure the barb on the fuel pump was fully inserted into the housing the first time it was installed on memorial day and wasnt until Friday (6/9/17) when my car started having a hard time starting.
