turbo troubleshoot.

Alright so the problem i am having right now is after installing a fbm base kit and flashing with a base map from speedfactory Im throwing two CEL codes. We pulled p2122 and p2127 which is related to the throttle pedal position sensor switch. Not sure why this is coming up as i didnt touch any of the accelerator pedal wiring.

The first time the car was fired up it was not idling well and i let the car idle for a couple mins thinking it would sort itself out and then i noticed the cel light was on. I tried driving it and there was alot of hesistation during acceleration. The car also went into limp mode before the turbo would fully spool up and the stability light came on as well. I have no idea whats causing the problem. Im tentaively ruling that the theres something wrong with the tune?

Mods on the car are:
Fbm base kit
550cc injectors
270lph fuel pump
3 bar omni map sensor
Tuned for 91 oct

Cheers.

Where did you get the 3 bar map from? FBM uses a 4bar map option. If you added that yourself you may need to pop the factory map in because your base map isn't made for that map upgrade you purchased.

It takes 30 sec to reinstall that factory map and check. If that fails call FBM and ask for LJ.

The tune and the map sensor are both from ft86 speedfactory. Maybe the map sensor wasnt scaled properly in the tune?

Yep. Happens alot on the forums. Also check all vacuum lines and clamp the he'll out of them so you don't over boost it and create a lean condition.

So im still having problems with the p2122 and p2127 codes popping up. Ive checked all the connections to make sure everything is secure and that everything is grounded.

Also ive noticed after flashing the car having the key in the on positition the throttle body is making this weird whirring noise. Ive never noticed that before.
My tuner has sent me a new map to flash and im still getting the same two codes poping up. When i road tested the car tonight, once i cleared the codes, the accelerater pedal was pretty unresponsive and acceleration at low rpms was very lurchy. And anytime i tried to accelerate past 5k rpms the engine light and tc light would come on and the car would would cut out and go into limp mode.

This is still going back to call LJ at fullblown and ask him for a base map with or without the 4bar map. They build the kit and have a lot of knowledge. The reason I say this is some people ship the kits with SD tunes and others have the builders tune. You still could be screwing around with a bad tune.

I got a base map and it says stage 1 oem map sensor. But I'll be installing the 4 bar map, so I should ask for the 4 bar map I'm assuming?

Yeps

So I finally had time to solve my overboost problem and have gotten the kit to hold steady on the boost gauge at 8psi!! (Combination of loose vacuum lines and dirty wastegate diaphragm).

Now Im specifically looking at the MAP sensor and if it is scaled properly because the car is going into limp mode. The MAP sensor is a 3 Bar Omni sensor.

So how did you solve this problem? I got the same codes
