17X9 wheels with good brake clearance?

I'm planning to get a new set of wheels for my BRZ next month. My budget is $1,500 or less, and I need wheels that have good brake clearance as I am planning to go for a BBK in the future. I am considering either AP/Essex Endurance or RR-Racing/Wilwood Stage 2. Also waiting to see RR-Racing's 4 pot setup which should be released in near future.

I was originally looking at RPF-1 17X9 +35, but it seems like they don't really have good brake clearance. I want wheels that are concave, but it seems like most concave wheels do not have good brake clearance. Are there any good options that fit my needs and preference for styling?

Did you try looking at the massive wheel and tire thread?

Believe me, I looked at and searched for everything and it was either:

1. good brake clearance but no concavity

2. Concave but marginal brake clearance

I'm hoping to find something that offers both.

There's is a huge list of wheels that fit the Sprint on the product page on the Essex site.. Plus a thread here.

I went TC105N (8" summer street) and 9" (AutoX) plus winters on Sparco Asseto Gara just in case I have to drive in the winter. Lots of options.

Do you really need a 9" wide wheel? If 8" will do, consider the K4R.

I already went through the whole thread and also asked a couple questions in that very thread myself as well. Still couldn't find what I wanted...

TC105N is a good looking wheel. Not as concave as I like, though. If I cannot find something that fits my criteria, it'll be one of my top choices.

Just noticed you're looking at the Endurance brake (why not Sprint?) It fits far more wheels, I think.

larger and floating discs with more vanes and brake ducting. If I'm spending $2k on a BBK, might as well spend some more for those upgrades. :)

But I'm not 100% decided on which BBK to go for, though. I'm also considering RR Racing kits as well.

They're not straight up upgrades... Weight is also different, with the Sprint having the edge. If you don't push the car so hard you need the heat handling of the Endurance, the Sprint may be the better fit. I'm less familiar with the RR offerings but the same holds true.

Pick the setup that best matches your use.

720Form Gtf1 fit with AP Sprint but are on back order.

I am aware of that but I think that would poke out too much or too much camber would be required...
