Motec PDM, M150 and stock power steering
Hi all,
I have a MoTec M150 ECU and MoTec PDM for my Time Attack project car. I plan to use the GPR package rather than the GT86 package because the only "comfort" feature the car will retain is the power steering. I realise the PS works off its own ECU and the motor has three connectors going to it. I also know the ECU uses a CAN signal to operate. I am not very bright when it comes to all this CAN stuff, so if someone can explain how to make the PS work with the MoTec kit I have described I would be very grateful. ABS has been removed and DI will probably get deleted?? Heater will be one speed on off switch from the PDM simply for the purpose of demist if needed. |
Obviously way too late but the new FT86 package from Motec (Jan 17) has most of the GPR stuff in It. Might be worth revisiting. Includes power steering amoungst many other OEM integration points.
Maybe adding “race” features to the FT86 package is easier than adding “OEM” features to the race package. |
