NESW20 has been around from the start basically so I'll support his liberal use of the term "management" lol.;)

And please people show some restraint all will be answered in less than 2 weeks.

to be honest i highly doubt that we'll know everything come geneva. we do know that at geneva, the ft-86 II and the subaru RWD sports concept will be shown, and they will be close to production concepts. aside from that there's no telling what info they will/won't release. even after the geneva show there's a chance we may still not know whether the car will have the EJ or the FB series, what badge(s) the car will wear in North America, the all important weight and hp #s, the availability of forced induction, etc. no where has it been announced that toyota/subaru will reveal every detail at geneva so i don't know why there's an expectation that we'll know everything come march. a lot may be kept in the dark until closer to the actual release date.

all will be answered 9 months from now at Tokyo motor show but in 2 weeks we will know a lot more than we know now so everybody chill out.

I think if you've been here and active since Oct 2009 when the site went live you've kind of earned that right to be considered part of "management" don't you. You guys helped build the forum and kept it going when there was no news what so ever.

It's not like there are a bunch of us "originals" left that are still active anyway (of course a lot of us seemed to manage to post in this thread though lol)

Chances are, we'll just have a very strong idea what the production version will look like. I doubt specs such as weight, horsepower will be unveiled.

Even if the weight and the hp are reveiled, it most likely won't be the production values so again all we will get is something to drool about for another few months. I love this car since I discovered about it, and a few things are gonna change my mind about that unless it becomes butt ugly or really really really heavy. But If it's underpowered but still light.. Meh, just a reason to tune it :)

All I want is an idea of what it will look like lol.

Even if they do give specs, who knows if they'll follow through completely. They could just say "This concept has this and that" and not put all of it into production.

The Buick Regal GS concept seemed 99% ready for sale. But in the time between concept and production, GM switched to FWD instead of the concept's AWD.

Nothing's certain until you can go and buy one.

yes but there will be more/newer info to go off, all we have now is all old news(the only new thing is the garage door rendering and honestly thats fck all to go on). people are bringing back disscissions we've beaten to a pulp, and its annoying because they say the same thing and give the same arguments as the previous ones(and 80% of the time they have already benn proven false or rumors) it just gets annoying and boring if you have to tell a second lot of people the same thing!(%&*%#^@)


p.s. im happy you guys are going by join date instead of post count(even though i dont qualify for either), that way we dont get the post whores running this place!

I doubt it. I think what will be shown is what will be very close in showrooms come very late this year.

LOL just checked xe and 1aud buys 1.01usd so we should be paying under 30k.. (in which case I would have bought a new rx8 rather than 2nd hand cus new here is 60k+ then you get stuck with lux car tax on top of normal tax and stamp duty..)

buying second hand makes the most sense. but if all of us buy it second hand, the bean-counters at toyota are gonna tell the engineers "see, i told you so. catering to enthusiasts doesn't make us any money." i'm so glad that toyota decided to finally make a car catered to us that i want this to be my 1st and only car that i buy brand new. but dang, even a 25k car is a lot for my paycheck. i'm gonna have to save up for a couple of years, so i'm definitely not gonna be able to buy the 1st model year.
