ordered the grimmspeed pulley cover from ft86motorsports to give them a shot despite our weak cdn dollar.
I usually buy from ft86speedfactory using my US credit card and order a bunch of parts at the same time to save money on shipping (requesting USPS as well) but sooooomehow...I was surprised with massive brokerage fees for a few packages half a year after I got my packages. There goes my plan of trying to avoid brokerage fees and saving money...:P |
Great to see a Canadian online vendor for our 86's.
Just ordered Grimmspeed hood dampers. Says in stock, and slightly cheaper than FT86 SF shipped to the border city in the US I'm close too. I'll let you guys know how it goes. |

I decided to give FT86motorsports a shot. I ordered a GrimmSpeed master cylinder brace this morning and by lunch time I had confirmation that it had been shipped! According to UPS, I will have it by the end of the day tomorrow.
There prices were on par with their competition in the states (after you take shipping and the exchange rate). Okay, I lied. They were actually a dollar cheaper lol. Ill update this again when the part shows up. |
Probably a stupid question: Does FT86motorsports add tax on top of your purchase?
|
Hang on, Ill check my invoice.
EDIT: Yup, they do. |

I ended up using @ft86motorsports to order a couple things. Think I put the order in on a Friday or Saturday evening, got notification it was ready for shipping on Sunday night, then it was at my house on the Tuesday.
Would not hesitate to buy from them again, except I absolutely hate using UPS, as their delivery times vary wildly for me. Sometimes I've had deliveries mid-morning, and other times I've had them as late as 8pm. At least with CanadaPost, if I miss a delivery, it's a 5 minute drive to the post office to pick it up. |
