2nd hand oft
 
Ok so I got a 2nd hand oft, it has been unmarried to original car. Not sure what I now have to do to be able to flash my car? Can I just plug into car and go for it or do I have to connect to computer before? Cheers for help

you will probably need to download the tune files from the oft website as its been erased by previous owner

Cheers mate ends up old owner hasn't erased it properly. Now I've only got a macbook it works on Mac yeah?

hopefully the old owner has written the stock rom back to his car else you wont be abl to erase the oft.

The openflash manager software is windows based so you will need to run a windows emulator like parallels or bootcamp or something , im not a mac guy.

Actually, the database files (that auto-generate the OTS tunes) don't get erased when the previous user erases the OFT. So as long as they were there in the first place, it should still generate the OTS tunes :)

True, but its a bit of an unkown as to how old the tune database was :-)
