Well I have a automatic. Is it even possible to do it?

that is a good question. I believe autos are safe from overrev because it wouldn't downshift if it would exceed redline, even if the paddle shifters are used.

I may be wrong.

Ok drove it for 15 min today and I think the noise is gone from the passenger side and know I'm hearing a smaller knock on the drivers side . You can hear it in the last 2 seconds of the video

Going to take more driving time for the noise to appear. It only happens when the engine is hot. Trust me, I had to have them drive my car like 30 miles to replicate the issue because it doesn't always make the noise.

I know you're trying to justify there is no noise, but the longer you wait, the more damage it will cause. You do not want to be driving on the freeway and then all of a sudden the engine blows a hole and you're stuck in the fast lane.

Ok will do.. I'll make sure I'll drive it for a hour before taking it to them.
On the video does it sound normal?

The latest one you sent sounds normal. The first one posted does not.

When you take the to the dealer, show them the video of the knock.

Not above admitting I'm confused by this. Please do show them the video and keep us posted.

You are correct, auto's do not let you overrev your engine. First it won't let you get into lower gear, second once it reaches the red line it automatically shifts in next gear---even if in paddle mode.

Ok the noise appeared again while picking my dad up.. And disappeared again.. I'll remove the muffler delete tomorrow then make an appointment. I'll keep everyone posted. Just to clear things out it can't be from bad gas correct? Also if they keep the car for long are they going to give me a rental?

Do not think it is from the gas. Good idea to put the muffler back on but the noise is from inside the engine and has nothing to do with the muffler. (but why give the dealer an excuse to deny your warrantee claim). If they have to keep the car for more than one day to fix the engine, or replace it, I would suspect they give you a loaner.

Keep us updated!! Good Luck!
