Please don't hang me for this but isn't there an aftermarket fix for this like installing something like a DeatschWerks Fuel Pump DW65c? That part is only $150 and we are able to change our fuel pumps without dropping the tank. Shouldn't take more than a couple hours. Mine isn't chirping so I haven't really looked into this deeply but since Subaru made a bad part isn't this just as easy as swapping out the OE part?

That is the in-tank fuel pump. The chirping comes from the high pressure fuel pump located on top of the engine. There is no aftermarket replacement currently available that I'm aware of.

(jest ah messen wich ya ........... :D)

I don't believe a little electric pump, like you mentioned, can put out the pressure required for this application.
