If you don't want to do it, that's fine, but the fact remains that "for the driving experience" manual is the way to go. If you look at limited edition Porches, or even the limited BRZs, they only come in manual. Like I said, if you gotta DD in traffic or just the routes you drive make driving manual a pain rather than a pleasure, then go for the automatic. Otherwise, go for the manual because it's a part of the driving experience, and this car is about that. |

I dunno guys.
I feel pretty engaged with my car when I'm running through backroads and mountain passes at high XX to XXX speeds. Guess I shouldn't feel engaged since I don't have a stick and 3rd pedal. |

- not a "car guy" - don't drive stick - drive mostly highway miles I'd highly recommend test driving the new GTI with DSG gearbox. For highway miles, it's significantly quieter and more comfortable than the FR-S. It's easier getting in/out of the car. It will haul more people and cargo. The interior is nicer, especially in Autobahn trim. The turbo engine will feel much stronger in the midrange. Fuel economy should be comparable. You give up the sharpness and balance of the FR-S, but it's probably worth the tradeoff for most people who're just looking for a fun sporty car. |
Can someone define "Car Guy" for me.
We talking about this guy? https://encrypted-tbn3.gstatic.com/i...vQh6ilfwV7eUzg |
Go test drive it.
Doesn't matter what anybody says on here. You have to find out for yourself if it's the car you want. |
FRS for "non-car guy"

Yes. Yes we are. He's what you call fully automatic. Tapatalk - because smoke signals would be too easy. |

As some people have mentioned, this is a great car but not for highway.
I live in a large city where basically i never have to use the highway and just cruise on the streets which is great. On the highway though i would prefer my honda lol.....the FRS/BRZ/86 is loud on the highway and something i wouldn't want to drive on a highway often personally. Sure, i use the highway sometimes and sure sometimes i'll drive far which is fine...but to use it on a highway daily....no thanks. |
