OFT Tablet to read CEL light of other vehicles
I know this is a bit off topic, but would be equally good knowledge for everyone. Will the OFT Tablet read the CEL light of other vehicles.
The car in question is my friend's civic 2007 hybrid? :thanks: |

Interested too. Will there be a problem in connecting our OFT to another vehicle? It's not as if it'll get bricked if it is connected to another vehicle. If I'm right, you should try it out and report back!

It only works for the supported vehicles. So only the ft86, BMW (dunno which one), mx5 and Fiat 500 abarth. But You can use an OFT which is locked to a ft86 for an other ft86 or any of the other supported vehicles. You can also read out the cel's and use it for data logging.

elBarto is on the correct path. I would assume this functions similar to a CobbAP, I tried to use my STi's AP on my Impreza, figured it's all Subaru??? It ended up giving me a code read out of about 200 codes, needles to say I about fell out of the car when the results came back. Plug my scan tool in, just the 1 code.

You could use a odb2 cable/bluetooth connector (like a ELM375) and use Torque to read the cel, that works on almost every car.
