Did Subaru change the OEM wheel colors?
I had a bit of an accident recently (not my fault!!) which required the driver side wheels to be replaced by the repair shop. After getting a new set of 18's, I went to sell my OEMs - problem is, the driver side ones are a slightly different color, charcoal grey vs. black (original). The replacement gray ones have the correct p/n ALY69621U30, which is why I'm wondering if anyone knows if Subaru changed the oem default color? My brz is from 2013.

maybe wheel is brand new vs old that got dirt

Did you buy your car used? Maybe previous owner painted the wheels.

I did but it used with 2000 miles on it - it seems like it would be hard to paint with the machined aluminum face to cover, but that may be the best explanation.

I have a 2015 and the wheels are either the darkest charcoal grey i've ever seen, or a metallic black. When dirty they look grey.

Looks like a good cleaning will do the job. Possibly a polishing Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
