Cold Engine Knock/Misfire

Has anyone else noticed that the FA20 is prone to knocking/misfire when cold? My engine always seems to knock/misfire when cold after shifting into 2nd and applying moderate to heavy throttle. I would hear a loud "pop" and my engine stalls for a fraction of a second. Car is 100% stock. Is this normal behaviour or is it harmful for the engine?

It's prone to do a lot of things differently when cold. Most people don't experience them because they know to go easy when it's cold.

Not my car's engine.

On a cold start up, I suggest you let the engine complete its start-up/fast idle dance .... then wait another 10-15 seconds, while you think about what you might have forgotten, ..... then move off slowly, until you get to the end of the block.......;)
