Exhaust Cabin Noise, MXP UEL Headers and OP, Tsudo Catback
What's up guys!
So this weekend, I finally got around time to installing my exhaust. My set up is listed below. Installation was great except for the fact the Tsudo has the fitment issue other members have complained about.
Nonetheless, when I started the car I instantly shi**ed my self. This is my first time with an aftermarket exhaust so my cherry was still intact.
Anyways, after driving it around for only 3 days (including a trip from LA to SB), I've noticed a couple things.
This exhaust sounds great. It's a little raspy since I am on 1 cat but its is nice and deep. There is no highway drone but it slightly drones at 50 mph on 5th gear with the windows up. (turns out it was because my rear seats were down)
Needless to say I am going to give it some time (I'm broke anyways). Do you guys have any advice on how to combat this? I was thinking about a resonated J pipe or dynamatting the car, but dynamatting will run a lot unless its DIY.
Also, whenever I start rolling at first gear, my exhaust makes noise that sounds like a marble being shaken in a glass bottle. I'm convincing myself that theres nothing wrong because it only happens under load under 1k rpm.
Another thing I'm concerned about is that at idle with the AC on, it makes a very quiet clatter or rattle. I think it's the same problem another member mentioned. It only happens when the AC is on and I can't hear it when I'm rolling. I am also convinced this is normal but I'm just making sure.
Thanks guys!
