OEM Microphone with aftermarket HU?

Has anyone had any success getting the OEM Microphone to work with an Aftermarket HU? Would love to get it to work with my Newsmy Nu3001 HU.

It is kinda PITA to do that. OEM mic has integrated amplifier and aftermarket HU needs not amplified signal. It is possible to do that, but it requires ripping stock mic apart. Stock mic is not the best quality in either case, so I think it would be best to simply replace it.

I would also like to know this. There's a couple threads but still isn't clear to me what is the verdict.

I recall that if you use a Pioneer HU it *might* work
