FA20 3d Model

Hi guys,

I am wondering if any of you know where I could find a 3D model of the engine and intake preferably for SolidWorks. I have been thinking on making a different intake manifold for my car and would like everything to fit.

Subaru/Fuji Heavy will sell it to you for a lot of money
There are several copies I know 5 Companies have and the amount of money they spent they won't give it away.
I have tried, even for small parts and I know those companies pretty well.

Is it not available through the SEMA partnership? I know there are a lot of companies that post there CAD files for companies that are apart of SEMA. I figured Subaru/Scion/Toyota would be among those.

Possibly that may be how they got it.

Exterior Body Panels
Transmission & Differential"

This was from a 2012 article on SEMA website. So You can get them

Wish I still had our SEMA tech transfer account active, I would have looked it up for you. That reminds me, I need to ask my boss to renew it.

That is quite expensive for someone just wanting to tinker with his own car. Would be nice if there was a cheaper way of getting it.
I could do with a dimensioned drawing of what the runner flange (to engine) looks like I know they are a bit offset but how much exactly?

I have one of those, but they you have to do guessing on curves and stuff. You can calculate out straight radii, but it is still a pain in the ass.

There's someone on the forum Velox? He shows his custom intakes. I'd contact him

That is a good suggestion I will try contacting them and see if they can help

On a sidenote, don't mean to jack the thread but does anyone have a Solidworks model of the BRZ as well?

Here are two free models for the twins that I could find real quick. They are not the best, but its something. I know there are better models out there, will look for it once I get some time.

There are much better ones out there than those listed above. I have one, but I acquired it through the artist now known as Velox for a sum of $ to do my own aero modelling... For example the WIP GT300 BRZ (I'm CAD trained and can't shake the habit of doing my modelling in there). Attachment 121433

I won't be anywhere near my cad comp till late November due to work commitments. So I suggest contacting Velox or looking for a better one online.

Wow that looks pretty damn sweet! Well, I was hoping to get hold of something close to a profile of the 86 body since I am doing some CFD studies for my school I might as well throw it on the 86 and see how it performs at the same time.

Are you planning on doing CFD stuff on that model too?

I had heard thru the grapevine, that Scion tightened up access to the FR-S, and maybe all Scion data, available thru SEMA, due to the data being leaked to non SEMA members.

Anyone tried thru SEMA lately?
