Signal issues

I'm an absolute rookie when it comes to anything electronics. I installed these Tom's tail lights two years ago and don't even remember how I did, but I do recall that it came with a little relay (or whatever it is called) that regulates the signal speed.

For a while my signal were acting up (Not flashing, not turning on and etc.) which i thought would be related to that little gray box being faulty. I had my car inside the shop for two weeks for some paintjob and now that I got it back left turn is constantly on and right turn doesn't ebven work anymore. When i turn on emergency right flashes but left stays on.

Is this indeed related to that little shit or should I get my regulator check out?

Grazie!

Being a rookie myself, all I can suggest is take out the relay that is currently in, and replace it with the stock one that came with the car. Though the lights will probably flicker like crazy, it may help tell you if you have an issue with the relay or it's something else.
