Is it just the rear bumper that was damaged? If so shop around I got mine repainted for about $420 but I'm in NJ so it might be cheaper or more expensive

Has that area already been repainted once before? Looks like lots or orange peel, might just be the light. If it has been repainted once its easy if the same bodyshop does it and they may not even have to blend it?

touch up paint and call it a day??

such a small area

start going to body shops to get a quote
when i have had bumpers painted, usually 300-400

Ahh okay. Then the bodyshop may need to blend it. depends on how good you want it to look I guess?

bumpers never match the body anyway so no blending would be needed, but sanding and painting of the entire cover is needed.

You just bought a brand new car, can't you cover the cost of repainting a bumper?

I never said I couldn't :P I was just wondering what I should expect to pay for the repairs, I'm taking it in to get some quotes tomorrow.

Dear broke college student ...... I totally agree with @WhiteFRS69.

You can always have it repainted after you graduate college, and get a job, and get married, and buy a house, and have kids, and after the kids are put through college and you retire. By that time, you won't give a damn about it .... ;)

I agree with @WhiteFRS69.

At least you got that first "scar" on the car early, now you probably won't have to worry about every single thing that happens to it and just be happy and drive it.
