BR33Z3's WRB BRZ Premium

My journey started last June when I decided to let my 2008 STI go. I had two vehicles at the time as I had a 2010 GTI for a daily driver. The STI was my fourth Subaru as I have have a 2003 WRX, 2007 Legacy GT, and a 1998 2.5RS. I really missed my 2.5RS and don't know why I sold it, I attribute this to my ADD when it comes to cars. I have also owned a 1990 240SX with an SR20DET swap along with a boatload of other mods (was sponsored) and I really missed the feeling of a nice lightweight sports car.

So I began to look for a suitable replacement. I looked at the 1M and 135i, I seriously considered both and almost bought a 135i. I just couldn't justify the cost of the 1M and the 135i felt like it was lacking that sporty feeling. I also took a look at a Lotus Elise for a fun car but once again couldn't justify the cost because it would just be a toy. I had known about the toyota/subaru joint venture and saw a couple of concept photos of toyota's version. One of my very first cars was a 1985 toyota corolla gt-s (I got this in 1995), so I thought more about the BRZ. I was eagerly anticipating the release of any photos pertaining to Subaru's version of the coupe. Fast forward to November when the BRZ STI photo's were released and I made up my mind. I would wait to get the BRZ.

I had hoped that the BRZ would not be a disappointment to me as I have held off purchasing a vehicle for almost a year. After the reviews started rolling in about the production vehicle, I was almost certain it was exactly what I was looking for. So March 1st, 2012 rolled around and I called up Subaru of Kennesaw at 9:15AM to place my deposit/order. After what seemed like an eternity of waiting (I have little patience when it comes to this), my BRZ arrives at the dealership June 4th (ETA was May 30th). Unfortunately, I was out of town at the time and picked up the car June 8th. The minute I drove the car around a sweeping curve, I knew I had made the right decision. So, after my long winded story, here are some pictures.

You'll notice that she's already debadged. I just wanted to plan ahead for my rear spoiler.

I got her tinted this past weekend, 35% all around. More mods to come shortly. I have chrome bulbs going in today and have an unpainted 5 Axis rear spoiler that should be arriving in the next week or two. I am also planning on a set of coilovers and 18" wheels. She will be shop sponsored here shortly.

Thanks for reading!

I swapped out my amber bulbs this weekend for some chrome ones and also put together a quick DIY post.

Some quick pictures of the results.

Inexpensive and quick mod with good results I think!

Here's a link to the DIY if anyone is interested:

Looks really good as premium. I think I'll do the same.

so far so good

If you were looking at higher end cars why a premium and not a limited? I think the interior alone is worth it

I didn't like the spoiler and there was no option to delete it. So I opted for the premium. I can live without some of the luxuries.

Looks fantastic!

I like your choice of vehicles, past and present.

Keeping an eye on your thread. Any plans for competitive driving? Or just tearing up the back roads?

Have a great day

Thanks Mishimoto! No plans for competitive driving, this car is just for pure fun. But I'll be sure to keep the thread updates, lots of good stuff to come!

What was ordered from Five AD? I thought their products were limited to the Scion?

It's the rear spoiler, works on both. :). I will have to get it painted to match my WRB BRZ.
