My magnetic FRS: an Un-build thread

I'm sure most of us feel like our cars are magnetic - they attract people of all ages, races, shapes, and sizes... There are a LOT of cars on here much nicer than mine; more mods, more power, etc - but here's my baby and her story:

:happyanim: Picked her up in July 2012. Had to drive 5 hours to find a Whiteout AT w/o Bespoke:

 At 40k miles, I needed new tires, so I got new wheels too (I know they're not to everyone's taste, but I like 'em!):

:party0030: Finally got around to getting some BRZ fender inserts (wanted them since day 1):

Not a terribly exciting build thread, I know... that's not what this actually is. When I used 'magnetic' in the thread title, I meant it quite literally... This car has been hit 3 effing times since I've owned it, and here's how it went down.

:paddle: After about 5 weeks of ownership, I went out for lunch. When I came back out to the parking lot, I found that my car had been hit while parked... no note, no nothing (and the food wasn't even good).

Damage after cleaning/buffing:

Not terrible, just a couple decent scratches, but didn't get into the urethane - just through the paint. Sucks, but not the end of the world.

:( About a month ago, I was stopped at a stoplight, and involuntarily assisted an '03 Silverado in stopping (rearended):

Nobody was hurt, and the damage was just superficial. New bumper cover, a little paint - good to go.

I got the car back from the body shop about 2 weeks ago (took a week to get the insurance ball rolling and get the car to the shop, and a couple days to get the car back)... Took it to 'Crazybrush Collision' in Tulsa, OK - and they matched the paint beautifully.

:mad0260: Last night, guess who's car got hit while parked and unatteneded AGAIN...!

Not terrible - appears to be very low speed/impact. I filed the claim, but haven't taken it in for estimates yet.

This is the third insurance claim on this car, and ZERO have been my fault... TWO were hit-and-runs while parked! The thing is, I love the car (or did), but these things are really taking away the joy of owning it. So even though none of the damage was serious in any of the collisions, none have affected the mechanicals or the way it drives - the Carfax will have three blemishes on it, so I'm sure it'd be a deterrent to buyers, and any hopes of selling it are probably shot.

Anyway, sorry for the negativity. On a brighter note, I have had the car for over 3 years, had zero mechanical issues, and she is sitting just under 72K miles and counting.

That's the story of my '13 Whitout FRS - it's been a rollercoaster. Hopefully when she's back out of the bodyshop AGAIN, I will fall back in love. :iono:
