Although, he did give me a "senior discount" ....... he wrote me up for 65 MPH instead of 68 MPH (so, it was 10 over the speed limit)......:iono: humfrz |

As a chp buddy of mine said once he only targets cars with radar detectors. Why? Because 110% they are speeding and bought it for that sole purpose of speeding.
Every single ticket that tried to contested he showed up and soon as he mentioned the radar detector the judge rules in the cops favor. Now those he ticked and clocked them with his radar gun and contested in court he loses because of some other factor usually they say they where going with the flow of traffic |
I like my radar detector so much I hardwired it into my FRS. It has become one with my car and me. We are all inseparable. If my car does something stupid like speeding and my radar detector takes the fall, I go with the both of them. We are the three amigos!

I love my radar detector (V1). I've been pulled over 4x in the last 2 years. Every time the convo goes like this:
we greet each other politely know why i pulled you over? 'yeah sorry sir i was getting on it back there' thank you sir i appreciate the honesty. yeah how fast were you going? 'honestly officer idk, couldn't give you an exact number' well i wasn't running radar so i'm gonna give you a warning. 'sorry officer i'll watch my speed' |
Haha I been pulled in my brz 5 times... That's a lot of the reason I drive my hooptie Honda daily mostly now. Plus it got snow tires. Not been pulled in like 5 years even though I drive them both the same.
Only once it was profiling though. Guy was on opposite side of road and flipped a bitch when I pass. I looked at speed. 33, was a 30 zone. He proceeds to say I was "going kinda fast". He didn't say what speed so I'm guessing he didn't clock me. Then he asks me if I've ever been arrested before. After that he says " there is a warrant for someone with your last name" I have a common Hispanic last name and live in an area with a significant Hispanic demographic. But I was passing along the border of the wealthy neighbourhood next to us. To this day I think it was a baseless stop. And I considered taking his badge number and filing a complaint. But I just let it slide maybe I shouldn't have. I still drive around that town even though it takes me longer. |
I believe in the cops profile certain cars. I get strange WTF looks from cops when I drive pass/along side them. Had one pull up behind me this on my drive home from work. Cop was blocking part of the right lane so everyone in front of me was going around him. Of course when I went around him, he looked at me then proceeded to get behind me. I was waiting for him to turn his lights on. He finally got along side of me and gave me the stupid WTF look. Like he was trying to intimidate me.:mad0260:

profiled as a piggy bank in a shiny new(er) car, one that betrays your extra cash with it's appearance of being impractical for hauling groceries and more useful in having fun. So you are more likely than some Buick driver to be able to fund their paycheck for another month.

so if I read the OP correctly, cop was driving other direction, correct? & all suddenly, they flip a bitch and pulled you over...
When did cop's speedgun get so high tech that, they don't need to be in complete stop to get the accurate speed? |
