Where to begin....at lest you searched a bit.
Keep on searching, Ask google, dig around the forums under "forced induction"
There are lots of turbo kits that are bolt on. Just keep doing your research on which to buy. Asking which turbo kit is like asking "what kind of underwear should I buy?"
If you're really not sure about engines and turbos, learn all about them. If you don't want to, don't turbo your car. Sell it and get a car with all the power you want in stock form.
p.s. I think you sound a bit of an idiot when you say your not a car guy.

I have an srt8 charger(not that fast of a car) as a daily driver, and I only bought the frs for a tuned experience. I guess I'm just having trouble getting started. I'm not asking without a couple days of research :) I first googled the fundamentals of forced injection on high compression cars and then tried looking for the math behind turbos but I'm not too sure how to calculate the damage caused by the excess of heat; but again I still have a lot to learn :/
To restate my original question i guess in three points:
1. Is Crawford worth my time?
2. Are there any turbos that compare with the Crawford plus 100 that you guys are dead set on, ie: fullblown stage one base, ect.
3. What are the lifespans of cars with the turbos with moderate psi, or if you have any equations to calculate stress on the boxer engine

I apologize, I could have used the forum just for direct injection. I'm sure the mods will move the thread if they see fit

In all seriousness what is your price range? Concern with quality? plans for the kit (DD,track, ect)?

I'm wanting to stay under 6k just for a kit, and quality does mean a lot to me. I plan on going to a track every now and then but it would be a daily driver once all the work is done on it. :)
