Pacer wheels

Does anyone have any experiences with Pacer wheels? I'm looking to get some cheap 16" steel wheels for my winter driving, and was wondering if anyone had any input on these: [ame="http://www.amazon.com/Pacer-Modular-Offset-Partnumber-83B-66527/dp/B00C6E7WLS/ref=pd_rhf_gw_p_img_3?ie=UTF8&refRID=1HAZCSWQYD7TM A0YMJ9R"]Amazon.com: Pacer Black Modular 16 Black Wheel / Rim 5x100 & 5x110 with a 41mm Offset and a 72 Hub Bore. Partnumber 83B-66527: Automotive[/ame]

The offset is much more appealing than the +50 for the black steelies that TireRack offers. Other than that, they seem the same. Good price.

you should check to see how the lugs are seated on those wheels. if they're spherical/acorn type, then the stock lug nuts wont sit correctly. and with the bore size larger than stock, you have a high chance of the wheel wobbling and worst case scenario - the wheel can fall off and break some lugs in the process.

Hub rings?...

that would probably help, but the bigger concern is what types of lug nuts are needed for that wheel.

From looking on other websites, it looks like the Pacer steel wheels call for 60 degree conical seat lugs.

So I should be able to use the stock lug nuts, right? Is it neccessary to get some hubcentric rings?

So I finally decided to order them. I'll update you guys when they arrive and I can get them installed.

Thanks, let us know how they work out for you!

I run some cheap 16s made by Motegi for winter.

Ok, so I got them mounted and balanced last week. Since its finally getting below freezing, I went ahead and put them on today. There are no clearance issues that I can see, and the car drives fine. I'm looking forward to so precipitation so I can see how they handle the snow.

So far, so good. I'm liking the look of the car with black rims and a larger sidewall. I'm thinking about buying new wheels and summer tires once winter is over, and this has me leaning toward something black. One benefit of these bigger tires is the softer ride. Driving over cracks, potholes, etc is much less harsh.

Read the title and at the risk of dating myself immediately thought "why the hell would anybody want Pacer wheels?"
