About what aspect of your writing are you the most insecure?
I'm afraid of semicolons, hyphens, and commas.

This is insecure with much to the intent of it. I do not like it so sometimes. That is what I don't more than any other when I can't. I try sometimes but isn't always true to be able to do it, if you know what I mean.

I'm insincere, but not insecure. Well, I sometimes worry about exclamation size.
|
Sometimes I punctuate too. soon

I actually do some communal writing with a few close friends, so I pride myself on my typing. I always worry about sentence structure, though it's not like what we write is anything serious so it doesn't have to be entirely formal. I'm insecure about present/past tense ending up being used to describe the same thing. I usually proof read what I type to make sure I put everything in the correct tense.

everything....
english was never my strong point in school |
I have no real concern about my writing except that I tend to write very long run-on sentences that never seem to come to a close, while at the same time being unable to reach my point in a clear and concise way; it is an old and ongoing issue with my writing style that I have attempted to resolve over the years with little (if any) success, while also keeping in mind that I prefer to provide copious details to the reader so that my meaning is made clear.
So there. |

I am insecure about most every aspect of my writing. Sentence structure. Content. Dynamism. And last but not least, punctuation.
I need me an editor. I've had a few fiction stories published, and each one has required more editing time than composition time. I wrote a 65k word novel in 6 weeks, but I've been editing it for 1.5 years, haha. So hard to let go when each day you improve and thus the day prior is no longer your best effort. Like a serpent devouring its own end, I find myself caught in an obsessive loop of editing I can not free myself of. |
