BRZ STI in 2016
 

I have a question. Does anyone know if Subaru is really going to release a BRZ STI in late 2015 or early 2016? I have read (on the internet, so it must be true ;)) that this will indeed be happening, and that the version will go for around $33k and have 18" wheels. Anyone know the scoop on this?

Highly unlikely.
There is a small chance of getting a tS variant (aero package, BBK) in the states since they have released it in Japan already.
But an actual STi BRZ won't be happening until we see it in Japan, which would be clearly marketed well ahead of time.
I would give it until the generation after next.

Yes sir is definitely coming out this year so start saving your pennies. They're releasing right before christmas to get all those holiday sports car sales.

I heard it will be a hybrid, to catch some of that Prius market, since they will scare away a bunch of people with the new ugly face and butt of the new Prius.
Inside sources also said, to tackle the issue of street abuse and respond to those who make fun of the slow twins, Toyota will throw in a Hellcat engine in the trunk to enhance the weight distribution from the unholy 53/47 or whatever it is. When your FA gives out after 7k miles, you can just drop in the Hellcat engine.

I actually heard that its going to be a four wheel drive convertible with a supercharger and turbo running exclusively on unicorn piss... ya know for all those eco nuts out there. They say it'll put the prius to shame and save just as many polar bears.

I understand that huge deposits have been found in Northern Canada so the price should come down.
