Automatic Transmission Issue or ECU?

I've had this issue since I bought the car and the dealership can't seem to replicate the issue. The issue is not consistent enough for me to replicate it on demand, rather it happens when you least expect it.

Here we go...

While cruising down the highway, I'll try amd pass a vehicle so I step on the throttle. The transmission will down shift to 4th gear. When it down shifts the car keeps accelerating, but the car goes nowhere. I have to let go of the throttle in order for the car to get back into gear. Once I let go of throttle about a second or two later the car hard shifts into gear and finally starts to accelerate normally.

I hope this makes sense. Has anyone experienced this? Its rather annoying and dangerous.

I will upload a video later tonight.

Unfortunately, I did. They think I'm crazy because they can't replicate it

Seems like this is a safety issue. They should keep it until they can find a fault and fix it.

Try a different dealer

Take tech with you even if it takes 15min. Go on hwy and try replicating it many times. If you leave it up to them, you get bs.

Thanks guys. I'll try a different dealership and aak to ride with a Tech

Took the car to the dealer. I was finally able to replicate in front of the tech. He thinks it might be a transmission issue. They are looking into replacing the whole transmission.

But honestly he is clueless as to what it might be. They haven't experienced an FRS that does this.
