trueno86power 2015 Toyota 86
Past builds on my ex-2013 Scion FR-S Whiteout: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=87059
Hi guys! In the middle of the summer, I've trade in my '13 FR-S for a '15 FR-S... In the first summer of owning the '13, my FR-S have been hit by a severe hail storm... The body job was okay but still it bugged me to have a new "rebuild" car. This is the main reason why I've changed my FR-S. Love the little upgrade of the '15 too! I've sold a lot of parts of my '13 FR-S to make the setup on my new '15 FR-S more simple. No lips, no stickers, nothing. Lowered, a nice set of wheels and a stupid loud exhaust :P The old FR-S did a lot of track time... but this one will mostly be a street car. I do track event for 8 years already. Don't know why, I'm kinda less motivated so I'll take a break for 1-2 years. That why I run street tire this time ! It perform great on the track but still confy enought to take a ride. As you can see, I love parts shipped over night from Japan. I'm really picky (Near OCD haha) so everything on my car is done by myself, torqued to spec and aligned perfecly :P I'm really happy about the change I've done, Firestorm look so good when proprely maintain. I've refreshed the look of my car with a full Toyota 86 conversion. Exterior badge, 86 AirBag cover, key case and I even change the radio for a Toyota one. Even if it's a simple mod, the car look more mature with the Toyota's logo. Hope you will enjoy! :) Engine - Grimmspeed intake - Perrin lightweight crank pulley - EcuTek ECU tune (OFT Stage 1 91 octane tune) - Nameless overpipe/frontpipe combo - Kakimoto GT1.0Z single exhaust cat-back - TRD Japan oil cap - TOM's radiator cap - Modelista engine cover - Estimated WHP: 175WHP @ 6662 RPM / 140 FT-LBS @ 6536 RPM (SAE Corrected, DynoJet on Virtual Dyno) Driveline - Factory 6 speed transmission & LSD Torsen differential Suspension/Chassis - ST X coilovers (Made by KW) - Perrin master cylinder stopper - Cusco carbon fiber front strut bar Wheels / Tires - GramLights 57DR 17X9 +38 offset - Dunlop Direzza DZ102 245/40/R17 tires Exterior - Toyota 86 conversion - Rear fog light - JDM Toyota clear side marker - JDM Toyota front bumper garnish - TapTurn strobe flasher relay - Opticoated by @JoeyV Elegance Auto Detailing Interior - Toyota 86 air bag - Toyota 86 key case - OEM red stitched handbrake boot - OEM frameless mirror - Debadged floor mat - TRD Release 1.0 trunk mat - TRD Japan duracon shift knob - Toyota Corolla Headunit - Toyota EnTune navigation US module https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7573/...8ffa9b53_c.jpg https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7453/...ccdf810b_c.jpg https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7712/...e10c794b_c.jpg https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7219/...95a62d0f_c.jpg https://c3.staticflickr.com/8/7146/2...8eeb41e8_c.jpg https://c4.staticflickr.com/8/7195/2...8f83506b_c.jpg https://c3.staticflickr.com/6/5683/2...32d3f208_c.jpg https://c3.staticflickr.com/8/7438/2...b1caebac_c.jpg https://c6.staticflickr.com/8/7614/2...6255c0fd_c.jpg |
I've installed my new tires, cleaned/painted my brakes and re-installed my OEM brake pads since I won't track it next summer. Can't wait to try the tires!

Damn, i need those wheels in my life now.
Nice build. |
NP man even though i lean more towards the brz i think this is a frs that caught my eye, one question, any fitment issues with the wheels?

Got like -2.0 of camber in the front (with the slotted shock bolt of the ST coilovers) and a natural rear camber of -2.6. Lowered app. 2". So I can track it & drive it on the street without any issues ;) |
nice, because i love the overall look of the 9' on the twins but read alot of fitment issues with et35 but wondered how you handled with a slightly different setup, i will be along the same lines, i want a fun cruise type car that can handle an occasional track day
|
In my opinion, this is the perfect way to build a twin. Nicely done!

I've updated my text a little bit since you guys look to like my ride :P I have just finished the intallation of the K&N Typhoon intake system. I can't wait to test it out. It's not for HP at all, it's mostly to dress up the engine bay and to hear the 4U-GSE a little bit more :P |
Quick picture of the engine bay with the K&N intake, so far so good ! Love the sound of it :)

I've took the car out last weekend for a Virtual Dyno run with the new K&N intake. I don't have any stock pull SAE corrected sadly, but it's the first time that I do over 170WHP SAE corrected from my previous testing (with the ex '13 FR-S).
A/F is a little bit instable, ECU was still relearning from the new intake. A do a cupple more run to see if it's more stable. I may need to rescale my MAF ! https://farm1.staticflickr.com/612/2...8bb90935_b.jpg |
