What transmission?
I can't seem to find the name of the transmission used in the toyabaru. I read something about the gears being the same in a Lexus IS? Is the transmission the same?
The idea is, I'm wondering if I'd need to replace transmission as well, if I do a lexus IS/IS-F engine swap, which would mean it would be less expensive... Otherwise, I'd rather head in a LS/T56 direction as I already have some experience with them. Thanks |
Is250 trans for the auto. Aisin az6 for the manual.

Thought it was the lexus is350 trans for the manual?

The manual gearbox is called TL70.
It maybe similar to Aisin az6, but newly developed for this car. Triple syncros on 1, 2 and 3. 5th gear is 1:1 |

Darksword: The IS350 doesn't even have a manual option last time I checked.. Rice: it's not as good as the S2K. IMO it feels somewhere between an S2K trans and a NC/RX8 trans.. all of which are AZ6 trans of course.. |

It's neither the RA60 or the AZ6. |

The TL70 info is definately correct as a Toyota trans code though, so that was good info  |
