Team Slick Auto - Ontario1500
 

We are very happy to announce that Team Slick Automotive (slickautosolutions.com or slickauto.ca) is less than 1-week away from our Ontario1500 Motorsport Adventure (Ontario1500.ca).

For those unaware of the Ontario1500, it is a grueling week-long auto racing competition at all Ontario tracks with a variety of motorsport competition.

Schedule:

• Mon, Sept.14 - Mosport International Raceway (CTMP) for Time Attack and Auto-X
• Tue/Wed, Sept.15 & 16 for 2 days at Calabogie Motorsport Park (CMP) for Time Attack, Auto-X and Concours d'Elegance
• Thu, Sept.17 - Shannonville Motorsports Park (SMP) for Time Attack
• Fri, Sept.18 - Toronto Motorsports Park (TMP) for Time Attack and Top Speed Runs
• Sat, Sept.19 - Grand Bend Raceway for Drag Racing and Auto-X
• Sun, Sept.20 - Mosport DDT (CTMP) for Time Attack and Auto-X

We will still be pressing on and pushing hard for a good result but we will be facing stiff competition from highly-prepped cars like a WRX STi, CRX, Mustang GT and Miata . We are one of 2 teams racing a twin, the other is the Speed Academy Scion Racing FR-S competing in our class also.

They are offering lapping throughout the day mixed in with our competition, but we are running until 3:30pm, then they have some more lapping till 5pm.

How come speed academy supercharge frs is in your class?

I know right?
Classes are either stock or mod. If you are stock and change only springs, you're in Mod and competing with cars with any mods, like supercharger and such, full cages, etc...
I can't even run E85 to try and balance things out.

But those are the rules, we will go out there and do our best!

when 1500 was being born I was against their entire mod philosophy... the people behind it are long-time time-attackers, and are well aware of exiting autocross rules, but decided to write a fresh rulebook from scratch.

if I had the money to do this, I would just buy the fastest mustang that fits into the lowest stock category, slap the largest wheels/tires on it, and go nuts.
