hi guys, sorry to keep everyone waiting. Finally got a hold of Shawn today. He has been really busy and initially he was just going to do a check up on the car really quick to see if it was going to be ok for me to keep driving the way it is without tuning it, as he really did not have time. He was planning on leaving a half day early for a funeral and had people lined up, so I was being pessimistic about getting tuned today. when he went to check out the parameters, he found out the car was running really lean, so he decided to put the car on the dyno and tune it properly. I cannot thank Church Automotive for doing this, even though he clearly had to leave early and had cars lined up behind me.

some background info: nothing changed on the car except the intake. I even went to the same gas station (although the freshness of the gas changes from time to time depending on how long it sits there). Church automotive has a ambient temperature reader built in to the dyno, and today it was reading a whopping 96 degrees peak. It was hovering anywhere from 94-96 :(. last time I got dynoed, he pulled out the dyno and found out it was 81 degrees.

here is the dyno with everything exactly the same, except this is with the Greddy intake. 196hp and 153lb ft @ 81 degrees.

result with the Gruppe-M. 206hp 161tq!

total gain of 10hp and 8lbs ft with the ambient temp being almost 15 degrees higher! It's a real pleasant surprise as I wasn't expecting gains like this, but I am finally over the 200hp mark on 91 octane :)

The greedy intake is just the snorkel right?

I didn't have the snorkel. I had just the cone filter one.

Looks like the intake also has helped with the torque dip.

man, i didnt even realize that but you`re right.. it`s almost a 10lbs ft difference right in the dip. still cant believe how early the torque peaks for a non turbo engine.. must be the DI.

cant wait till i try out the ACE header that Counterspace garage guys have... i know not everything always add up the way you want, but the thing just looks/sounds so damn efficient.

heh funny how everyone was waiting on a dyno and when i finally get around posting it not many people respond.

raven1231 10-19-2015 02:36 PM

What responses were you wanting?

Dr. BRZ 10-19-2015 06:52 PM

my combination probably pulls the same, silicone inlet tube, k&n filter and the greddy snorkel.
