Attachment 119392 looks really grey... and the price. You guys think it's a knock off?

If you have to ask...

Fishbed77 09-03-2015 01:25 AM

Doesn't look like a Subaru part to me, so it must be fake.

wootwoot 09-03-2015 01:33 AM

Real. That's what I paid for mine...

tyrantcf 09-03-2015 01:33 AM

Why are you looking at skunk2 intakes..

..but does look fake.

humfrz 09-03-2015 03:52 AM

Well, it looks "real", but, what would make the difference ..... ??

Personally, I'd pass and just drop in a free-er flowing filter for $40 and spend the difference on gas, food and motel on a week-end road trip .....:)

$270+shipping for arguable gains?

I already spent the money on a track day + instruction.

Ashikabi 09-03-2015 08:29 AM

Omg guys enough with the panel filters. I have one. My airbox and snorkel were damaged so insurance is pretty much paying for it. The Skunk intake may or may not make gains but it would replace both damaged parts and sound good doing it

probably fake.

Fixing it up yourself?
If so then going with a new intake as opposed to just a drop in may actually make sense.
Don't think the guys saying "stay stock" realize that your intake was all smashed up anyway. Of course if stock intake is all good a drop in makes economic sense but if you have to replace it anyway...

but bro, there are no gains to be had. Why not run without an intake and save that money for track days?

Ashikabi 09-03-2015 10:01 AM

Thanks Tcoat. That's why I asked very specifically about the presumed authenticity of the Skunk intake, not if it was good/bad/otherwise
