Head Rest too close

Does anyone have a good solution to alter a driver's seat headrest that seems to be too close to my head no matter how I adjust the seat and headrest? I have removed the headrest and tried to slightly bend the metal posts that go down into the seat but so far have been unable to bend them. They are pretty strong. I am afraid of crimping the posts if I use too much force. The tubes appear to be hollow and I'm not sure if they will bend. I only need to alter the headrest position an inch or less to clear my head. Any suggestions? Thanks.

They are design not to bent so ur neck don't just snap in accident....

what are you trying to do?? what do u mean it's too close? your head should rest on it...and your upper body should be leaning towards the back a bit with ur head upright.

If you haven't tried it already, try reclining the seat-back more and pulling the seat forward to put the controls back in arms reach. This will probably bring the pedals a bit closer than you like, but might work.

The head rest is designed rediculous, flop it around and enjoy the comfort.

Yes. They can be reversed for Helmet wearing track days.

I wouldn't reverse it on the street...you're leaving your neck fairly exposed. Def reverse on track with helmet.
