Special pre-Sykart Sept 3rd 630pm tour of Palatov Motorsports w/ 2015 Pikes Peak car
 

We've been approved to tour and see the 2015 Pikes Peak winning car tomorrow at 630pm-7:00pm at the creators shop:
Palatov Motorsports

The car which is one of the cars Palatov designs/builds/creations, won the 2015 Pikes Peak race in it's class earlier this year. The car is currently being auctioned off on Bring a Trailer at: http://bringatrailer.com/listing/201...rs-pikes-peak/
The special thing about the car is it's 50 states legal, titled in oregon and completely legal for the street. 1100lbs over 500hp, so it's really fast! It pulled over 1.4g when racing at Pikes Peak.

If anyone would like to join me in seeing the car and their shop where they build a few different types of race cars, some of which are street legal please show up at 630pm as stated above.

Unfortunately I'll have to pass, no way I'm trying to cross the river around that time.

Might put in a bid, though I do fully expect this to go for far FAR above my pay grade..

I'd buy it if I was wealthy enough, but obviously I'm not. This would definitely have to be a track/weekend car only. Purpose built no creature comforts. lol

I would be down if getting back to the west side wasn't such a pain and so close to the Sykart event.

Is it just me or is this thing an Atom with some bodywork?

The suspension and various other components are not like the Atom. They make their frame themselves as far as I know too which seems a little more extensive than the Atom. Perhaps they took the Atom plans and modified it quite a bit?

We'll see at 630 today. ;)

I think it's just the fender attachment that got me - connected to the axle carrier. Looking forward to it.
