Still tentative, but most likely how it will be since it's what we've done in the past:
- Meet at ATS Racing in Denton at 9am on Friday, 11/6. 2120 James St. Denton, TX 76025 - Head out at 10am - Meet with the other DFW guys at the Kroger in Crowley. Rough time estimate puts us there about 11am. - Refuel, head down to Kerrville once we know that everyone is ready. We take 287 for most of the way, then some other fun backroads. |

As of now, plans are still the same - I'll recap in the next couple days.
Weather forecast is looking kind of crappy at the moment. We will still be going down to Kerrville, but the actual run part will be played by ear. Hopefully this is the last time weather will need to be discussed :fingerscrossed: |
ATS/DFW caravan info (same as above):
- Meet at ATS Racing in Denton at 9am on Friday, 11/6. 2120 James St. Denton, TX 76025 - Head out at 10am - Meet with the other DFW guys at the Kroger in Crowley. Rough time estimate puts us there about 11am. I'd suggest being there no later than 11:30am. If we will be drastically late getting there, I will update this thread once we leave the shop. - Refuel, head down to Kerrville once we know that everyone is ready. 35W drivers: Be aware it is a Nascar race weekend. 35W around exit 70 can get fairly crappy. If you run E85, the Valero at that exit is the only station between Ft Worth and the shop that has it directly off 35. Races also bring out the police (there were 4 in a 2 mile stretch surrounding the track just now). So please plan accordingly. The station ~1/4 mile down the road from the shop with E85 is maybe 20 miles past the exit 70 Valero (more like 15 miles, but I like to be cautious), so if you think you can make it, I'd suggest avoiding exit 70 traffic/chaos. Weather: Most weather reports say the rain in Kerrville will stop before 9am Saturday, so we should be good rain-wise for the run. Hopefully there won't be any flooding. We are assuming the weather will prevent a lot of bikers and non-enthusiast drivers. Fingers crossed. I will update this thread tomorrow if there are any changes to Saturday morning's plans. But as of now, we are still leaving the YO Ranch at 9am. |
Leaving the shop for Crowley right now.
|
At the Crowley Kroger gas station. About to head to the Taco Bell to hang out for a bit and wait for anyone that's showing up.
