10 twins registered for NOLA in Oct

As the title says there are 10 twins registered for Nola weekend in October with Flat Out Motorsports. Anyone here on the forums?

FrX 08-29-2015 10:42 AM

Aye. A few of us from Houston are making the trip over for the "NOLA Speed and Style" event.

That's awesome. Wish I could join you guys.

Hiiii myself and 4 others from the gulf coast 86 region are coming. @Anthony!

So, I'm not supposed to sign up because I'm not "SOLO Qualified". What's the easiest route to attainment?

Get more seat time between now and the event?

Yep, I'm all registered up. I'm currently beginning my quest to find aftermarket gauges to replace my stock cluster that I've got zip tied in place. I baaarely got through tech at my last autocross, so I don't want to be turned away from a track day over some silliness. So if anyone has any recommendations for good, simple, reliable gauges, I'd appreciate it.

You mean something like this:

Yeah, but holy hell are those expensive. I think I'm just going to work with what I've got.

dustmann 09-23-2015 05:54 PM

I think I'm going to do the autocross on the 18th. How are yall seeing the registered cars?

dustmann 09-23-2015 06:01 PM

Just kidding.. I figured it out. Looks like registration is full. NOLA is a fun course!

Dave-ROR 09-23-2015 08:22 PM

I'll be there. Not with a twin obviously but with the Houston 86 crew. And I'll get to see my old brakes!

Will be bringing the beat to shit chumpcar.. slowest laptime buys the first round? :) (which means me I guess since all you fuckers are boosted and I am in a 170hp FWD econocar on 4 year old star specs and cut OEM springs...)

Dude if they fail you for that, then I am fucked. Our entire race car is held together with more zip ties than bolts. Including the OEM cluster AND all aftermarket gauges.

Autocross turning someone away from that is some funny ass shit.

This event will be such a total shit show I'm not sure I'd worry about tech much. Hell if it's like most track days I do, autocross tech is about 100 times more intense.... I am bringing a boot for the race car so it doesn't get stolen by the car show kiddies.. yes sadly I am serious.

Don't worry, I am NA right now, after replacing the blown-up turbo motor.
